Job Title: South Asian (Indian) & Fusion Lead Wedding & Event Manager

Location: Must be located in NJ or Philly area

Job Type: Part-time (20 - 30 hours), must be available to work on weekends, must not require sponsorship

Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate Lead Wedding & Event Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Indian wedding traditions, excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and has a can-do personality to tackle any thing that comes up (which is quite common with weddings!). This role requires working closely with couples and families to understand their vision and delivering a personalized experience that exceeds their expectations using the project management tools and templates that are in place.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Client Consultation and Relationship Management:

    • Meet with clients to discuss their vision, preferences, and budget.

    • Provide expert advice on wedding themes, traditions, and cultural practices.

    • Maintain ongoing communication with clients to ensure their needs are met and expectations are exceeded.

  2. Wedding Planning and Design:

    • Develop detailed wedding plans, including timelines, schedules, and checklists using templates built out with content and customizing that for the couple.

    • Source and coordinate with vendors for services such as catering, photography, videography, floristry, and entertainment.

  3. Budget Management:

    • Create and manage wedding budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.

    • Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to secure the best deals for clients.

  4. Event Coordination:

    • Oversee all aspects of the wedding day, ensuring smooth execution from start to finish.

    • Coordinate and manage vendors, ensuring timely delivery of services.

    • Oversee coordinators team for the day and have a prep call prior to the big day.

    • Handle any unexpected issues or changes with professionalism and efficiency.

  5. Vendor Relations:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with reliable and high-quality vendors.

    • Conduct site visits and vendor meetings to ensure all arrangements are in place.

  6. Marketing and Promotion:

    • Work with the Social Media Manager to promote The I Do Shaadi Crew’s wedding planning services through social media, networking events, and other marketing channels. This will include taking pictures and content when onsite at weddings.

    • Stay updated with the latest trends in Indian weddings and incorporate innovative ideas into planning.

 

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Wedding Planner, Project Manager, or Event Coordination (must have knowledge about Indian weddings).

  • Strong knowledge of Indian wedding customs, traditions, and rituals.

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

  • Creative and detail-oriented with a flair for design and aesthetics.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Proficient in using project management software and tools.

  • Flexible schedule, including availability on weekends and evenings.
